Are you having difficulty managing the behavior, communication, or emotional needs of your children and teens? I have a background in education and a passion for offering thoughtful, personalized care to individuals, children, and families. After years working in educational settings and my personal experience as a military wife, I feel drawn to support clients on a deeper level by addressing emotional, relational, and life challenges in a therapeutic environment and a deep passion for supporting children, individuals, and families through life’s challenges,
MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH
I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. My work is informed by psychodynamic and narrative theories, with a strong belief in the power of personal stories. In therapy, we explore these stories together to better understand how past experiences may be influencing current relationships, patterns, and well-being.
Clients often share that they value my perspective and practical guidance, which I find deeply meaningful. I enjoy collaborating with clients to identify effective tools and real-life solutions, and the most rewarding part of my work is watching clients apply these skills as they grow in confidence, resilience, and self-understanding.

As a graduate intern, I am currently in the final stages of my education. I am in a Master’s program and one of the requirements to graduate is to gain 600-700 hours of clinical experience under the supervision of an experienced Licensed Clinician. I meet weekly with both my University and On-Site Supervisors so it’s like you get a treatment team of clinicians reviewing the work we do together to make sure I am giving you the best quality care.
There are benefits of working with a graduate intern clinician that many do not consider. Graduate interns carry smaller caseloads and are energetic and excited as they are learning the most up-to-date training on evidence-based interventions. Graduate Interns are willing to ask questions for help and consultation, which is best practice but rare for even the most experienced clinician. Research shows that the bonds formed, and emotions experienced, along with insight and work done in session, leave many clients reporting a more positive experience with their graduate intern than with their previous experiences with more seasoned therapists.

As a graduate intern, I do not bill insurance directly. My standard rate is $45 per session. However, I’m happy to match your insurance copay, so your out-of-pocket cost remains the same as if you were using your insurance. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship.

Our sessions will be tailored to your unique story and needs. My goal is to offer a safe place to explore and understand your story, with special attention on how your past may be influencing your current struggles. Together, we will draw on your strengths and values to create a new narrative, with purpose and hope for the future. As a Christian, I am happy to integrate spirituality into the therapeutic process if it aligns with your values.

Becoming a therapist is a dream come true for me. Although I enjoyed my time in education, I often found myself in informal counseling roles while teaching and volunteering, and wished that I had a degree in counseling so that I could better help people. I benefited from the power of a therapeutic relationship in my own life during times of uncertainty and consider it an honor to help people who are going through their own challenging times find hope and healing.
Let me be the support you need.
